Cocktail hour spills into the courtyard if the evening is kind. Everything else — ceremony, dinner, dancing — is indoors and air conditioned.

That was deliberate. August here is humid enough that we did not want the day to depend on the weather.

During the ceremony, no — phones away, please. We have hired someone very good and we would like the aisle photograph to have faces in it rather than screens.

Upper seventies to mid eighties, humid, with a real chance of an evening thunderstorm that clears in an hour.

Dress for the room rather than the walk to it — everything indoors is cooled.

The venue does not have its own lot. The Capitol Square municipal ramps are a five-minute walk and are free after six on Saturdays.

If you are staying at the Hilton, take the shuttle and leave the car where it is. From the Indigo or the Moxy it is a six-minute walk, so you will not need it either way.

Dane County Regional (MSN) — six miles from downtown and small enough to be genuinely pleasant.

Chicago O’Hare is two and a half hours away by car and frequently much cheaper. If you are flying internationally, it is usually the better answer.

June 26, 2027 — about six weeks out. That is the date the caterer needs a final count, and it is a harder deadline than it looks.

If you already know you cannot make it, tell us early rather than late. It genuinely helps.

Your invitation names everyone we have a seat for, and the RSVP page will show you exactly those names when you look yourself up. If a plus one is included, they are already listed there.

We are at a hundred and twenty-five in a room that holds a hundred and forty-four, so we have had to draw the line somewhere. Please do not take it personally — we promise it is arithmetic.

Otherwise this is an adults’ evening. We know that makes it a harder night to say yes to, and we are grateful to everyone arranging a sitter.

Choose the meal that comes closest on the RSVP, then use the notes box on the same screen to tell us the specifics. Vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free are already on the menu as full options rather than afterthoughts.

Serious allergies go in that box too. It goes straight to the kitchen, not just to us.
